Tereze Strautmane was born in Riga, Latvia.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Humanities from the Art Academy of Latvia and an MFA in Illustration at the University of Hartford in the U.S.

Flowing through life experiences Tereze loves to discover her personality by traveling and absorbing a variety of different cultures. While living in Mexico she studied ceramics at the University of Veracruz mastering the local traditions of cochinilla painting technique and discovering the secrets of black clay in Oaxaca. She practiced arts in Russia and Sweden, and has been exhibiting work in personal shows and group exhibitions locally and internationally. Ten years Tereze lived in Saudi Arabia, where she was teaching arts in Visual Communication Department of Hekma School of Design and Architecture at Dar Al-Hekma University.

Life routes have taken Tereze to Indonesia where she is working on new projects, admiring  impressive culture and seeking the unknown...
